2026 Rocky Mountain Vintager Schedule
Vintagers: Great year planned with new events plus old favorites! Please lock these dates in on your phone / computer / hard copy calendar!
HELP! We recruit or we die as an organization! Please bring someone new to events or sign them up for info as we strive to raise our membership from 35 last year to 50 in 2026!
NOTE: A detailed overview of each event will be sent out prior to the scheduled event with MOTH (Master of the Hunt) info so you can sign up if needed.
January 17, Saturday, 6:30 p.m.:
Charlie Sturdevant “Goodbye Party” st Golden City Brewery, 920 12th Street, Golden.
Come raise a glass to longtime great guy half Scottish, round action Dickson Vintager, Charlie Sturdevant! Dress warm … outside venue with heaters and food truck!
February 7, Saturday, 5:30 p.m.:
Annual Banquet at the Fort Restaurant, gala affair! 19192 CoRd8, Morrison, CO.

Golden Gun Club Skeet Fun and Games! Singles and games keep it wild and woolly but safe with medals awarded … come join the fun!

Whittington, New Mexico … our Premier Venue where we gather to share fine shotguns, try our hand at challenging flurry targets and tell tall tales! Many call it the best event of the year so don’t miss it! Saturday night presentation titled “Engraving … the Icing on the Cake!” presented by Dr. Michael Urynowicz and Bruce Koranski.
May 23, Saturday, 11:00 a.m.:
The “Great Trifecta: Great Guns Tower Gambling plus patterning / trigger pull analysis plus BBQ at Joe Brebis manor house!” Wow, we haven’t done this one before… new event! Start at Great Guns, Nunn and progress to Joe Brebis estate.
Summer night “Smoker Seminars!”

June 27, Saturday, High Noon:
Bunker Trap with after party at Harry Kauffman’s … last year’s creme de la creme social event! Challenge yourself with Bunker trap at Pike’s Peak Gun Club and adjourn to Harry’s house for eye popping sxs collection with wonderful meal!
July 18, Saturday, 1 p.m.:
Hawaiian 5 Stand at Kiowa Creek! It’s going to be hot but no walking, wear your best Hawaiian shirt, straw hat and come for the fun! Kiowa Creek has a challenging
5 stand … medals awarded for best scores! Adjourn to the patio for cigars and scotch!
August 8, Saturday, “Elephant Hunt”:
Big guns, big noise … charging cape buffalo, cigars around the campfire … slip away on safari for an afternoon! Ellis Brown has it all at his yearly gathering in his backyard just a few miles East of Ft. Collins!
September 1 (Tuesday) or 5 (Saturday):
Master of the Hunt Michael Urynowicz is organizing a dove hunt on public lands in early September… “if it flies, it dies!” Stay tuned for details…
October 3, Saturday, High noon:
NEW Event … “Long Shot Shoot!” Can you hit the 50-80 yard shot …come find out! Location TBD.
November:
No formal event due to bird and big game seasons are all happening!
December 5, Saturday, high noon:
Heritage Live Bird Hunt… we have moved this hunt later in the season in hopes of more moisture with better setting conditions! BYO lunch and in the field at 1 p.m. Great ambiance in rural setting with relaxed after socializing makes this one of my favorite hunts of the year! Master of the Hunt is Peter Lindquist.
