On October 29th the Rocky Mountain Vintagers concluded their activities for 2023 with a pheasant hunt at Heritage Sporting Club in LaSalle Colorado. Four squads of 4 hunters per squad descended upon fields covered in 3 inches of overnight snow with temperatures in the high 20's. Those members with dogs got to enjoy seeing their best friends scenting birds and holding points. Those without dogs were accompanied by two excellent guides and their pooches. A plethora of old and new side-by-sides were on display along with some very good shooting. The event was coordinated by Amber from Heritage. She was wonderful to work with and no matter what came up it was never a problem.This hunt was our inaugural event at Heritage but will most likely be added to our schedule in the future.
